Moving blogs
I'm moving blogs guys. This stupid junk website thought it would be funny to wipe every single image I've ever uploaded onto my blog, which is too many to go through and replace. And besides, I don't want to risk this happening again, so I am going to move to Tumblr.
I'm pretty sad about this considering I really did enjoy this site :( Ah well... life goes on!
See ya!

Realism painting practice
Getting pretty bored of drawing cartoony things all the time, so I decided to try to paint more realistically. I still have a buttload to learn, but I'm pretty pleased with how these little tryouts have turned out so far! I plan to keep practicing with this. These are both done with Photoshop, just the normal brush with varying levels of opacity and shizz. Photo ref was used.

Poseable plush... work in progress
I've been working on making a poseable plush of a character from the newest Ratchet and Clank game. I had to make the head alot smaller than it actually is in the game because it would put too much strain on the armature else. I will make up for this by adding fluff around the back of the head and the cheeks to make it appear larger without adding too much weight to it. I'm also going to sew his white costume that will hopefully be removable (see image below my image for the character ref). I'm going to add fur to the body tomorrow.
Here is a picture of it so far, I've just completed the hard, Sculpey parts... the wire frame will be covered with fur later on:
Here is a picture of the actual character (courtesy of CreatureBox):

Dracula animation, fffyeah
What is this I don't even....
Lol, well we were given a task to animate to a voice clip from some old Dracula movie (which explains why the girl sounds like a dude xD). I just keyframed this which is why it looks jumpy, but I wanted to get the motion looking right and uhh... natural? :P
Enjoy!

Custom Ratchet hat
I went into the town center today to buy some materials for a Ratchet hat. I've never made a hat before, but I think this came out pretty well for a first! It's completely hand sewn (I will use a machine next time if I can fix it :P). The hat is made from felt, and the ears are made from fleece.
Here is the character the hat is based on:

More art!
Here are a few more arts I did this weekend for the petsite, PetAdoptables.com. These were quite a challenge since I never normally draw water-based animals, but it was incredibly fun! I think drawing the preserved axolotl from life drawing was a great help :P
Here is a sneak peak of the next pet I am working on, a Siberian Husky (it'll be an Xmas special pet):
Just waiting for feedback from the site owner, then I can do the other colour alts, then get paid for this set, woo! :P Hoping to work on a monkey pet afterwards, getting in practice for drawing different types of animals.
Enough blabbing from me now :P

Mr Muscles 3D animation
This animation features Morphy again, but modified :P We had to make him push a box, so I learned how to keyframe in Maya and animated the keyframes to get the motion and timing right. Much easier!

Morphy- the FINAL SHOWDOWN lolol
Or something like that.
So I finished up my Morphy today, rendering him in the studio. I was just going to keep it normal, but I figured I'd screw around with After Effects and see if I could add a background and make it ripple slightly, and viola!
Yeah, the animation kinda sucks at the end because I could not for the life of me figure out how to untwist him (I know now, a little too late lol), but I'm proud of the beginning part at least :P

3D Morphy animation WIP
Here is a work in progress shot of my current 3D animation, Morphy. Considering 3 weeks ago, I had no clue how to animate in Maya, I'd say it's going pretty swell so far! Some bits kinda suck, but I'm still getting the hang of Maya's stupid keyframer thing lol.
